It affects coordination throughout the body, it has to do with the brain deteriorating.

3. This disease is detected at the age of 35 to 44, but they can range anywhere from infancy to old age.

4. An estimated 75,000 people carry Huntington's disease.

6. Huntington's disease has autosomal dominant inheritance, meaning that an affected individual typically inherits one copy of the gene with an expanded trinucleotide repeat from an affected parent. Since penetrance of the mutation is very high, those who have a mutated copy of the gene will have the disease.
